Software Overview
Accounts, Statements and Transactions
The following terms are used by
Home Credit Card Manager Lite to represent your credit card information:
- Credit card accounts are referred to as Accounts.
- Billing statements you receive from your credit card provider are referred to as Statements.
- Each line on a statement is referred to as a Transaction.
Categories and Parent Categories
Your credit card information is grouped at two levels:
- Transactions are grouped under Categories (eg BILLS - Electricity).
- Categories are grouped under Parent Categories (eg BILLS).
A default list of Categories and Parent Categories is shipped with
Home Credit Card Manager Lite. You can add/edit/delete these to suit your needs.
Importing Transactions
To save you manually typing in all your transactions,
Home Credit Card Manager Lite provides you with an import wizard that allows you to load your transactions electronically.

Category Auto-Matching
To save you manually allocating categories to every transaction,
Home Credit Card Manager Lite provides you with a Category Auto-Matching tool.
This tool will automatically allocate categories to transactions by:
- Examining categories you applied to transactions in previous statements.
- Matching transactions to category wildcard patterns.

Workbooks
Home Credit Card Manager Lite stores all your Account, Statement, Transaction, Category and Parent Category information in a
Workbook (with a file extension of .hdat). You can create as many workbooks as you need.
